Winter Storms Bearing Gifts

Rochester’s measly little six inches of snow isn’t what did it. What did it was the rest of the Midwest got buried with enough snow, wind and ice to shut down airports from Minneapolis to the East coast. And my flight to Dayton, Ohio was canceled. I have to say, I leapt for joy! No business travel and I’m stuck at home, not in some airport somewhere like so many people are today. Thank you storm.

That joy points to something deeper though. My desire to be home and to do the work I long to do. Like building this blog. Or facilitating deep listening groups, or leading retreats about Forgiveness. Or writing the many thoughts in my head and heart.

Today I took the gift this winter storm gave me and wrote, learned more about real marketing and got to walk Ellak to school with Keesha and Alisa. What will you do with unexpected gifts of time?
